How can I donate?

A Hasomer Hacair Világmozgalom adománygyűjtő akcióba fogott, aminek célja, hogy az ukrán zsidó közösségeknek és menekülteknek szükségleteiknek megfelelő segítséget nyújtson. Az akció része a forrásteremtés és az eszközök beszerzése, adománygyűjtés, majd ezek eljuttatása az érintett területekre.

Hashomer Hatzair World Movement began collecting donations to attend to the need of the Ukranian Jewish community and help them. Collecting donations involves getting the supplies, the fund necessary and getting them to the affected areas.

A magyar Somer feladata, hogy a nyugat-európai Somerek pénzadományából és helyi tárgyadományokból beszerezzük az igényelt cikkeket és Ukrajnába juttassuk. Az eszközöket a célcsoportok igényei alapján gyűjtjük. Kérésünkre a JCC Bálint Ház átvevőpontot hozott létre az adományok gyűjtésére és rendszerezésére.

The Hungarian Somer’s task is to deliver the supplies bought from the funds donated by Western-Europeans shomirmot. We complied a list based on the needs of the target groups. JCC Bálint Ház opened a collection point for our request where donors can leave the donations and we can sort them out.

In the entire international operation, we perform the following activities:

1. We are sending food, supplies and medicine into Ukraine, both from the Hungarian border and from the Polish border
2. We are sending equipment to run the distribution centers such as generators, electric wires, tools, tables and more
3. We are shipping the goods within Ukraine into Kharkiv, Kiev and Lviv
4. We send money (around 200 us$) to people who can not reach the food supplies that are sent and they use the money also to fund their exit from the city or out of Ukraine
5. We send buses from Lviv to Poland
6. We run a network of volunteers that help people in need from supplying food and medicine to help moving from shelter to shelter and much more.
7. We operate a refugees center kindergarden in Poland next to the border with Ukraine
